A Milestone Moment for The Ole Miss Finance Club

Last night, we had the privilege of hosting our first meeting of the semester, welcoming ~ 130 members—a remarkable increase from last semester’s average of ~ 70. Over the break, our membership grew from 171 to 290, a testament to the club’s momentum and the enthusiasm of our students.

Presidents Andrew McDonough & Yiping Wang outlined a vision for the semester focused on growth, professional development, and impact.

Key initiatives this semester include:

📌 The first-ever Finance-Focused Career Fair (Futures in Finance)—connecting students with industry leaders

📌 A Wall Street Prep Financial Modeling Seminar—equipping members with essential technical skills

📌 Opportunities to engage with our $500,000 portfolio and The Ole Miss Investment Group—providing hands-on investment experience through stock pitches and portfolio management

This is only the beginning, and we look forward to an exceptional semester ahead.
